2024 BoyScouts Camporee

 

Tom Seidenkranz – KK7OMV, an OVARC member invited OVARC to demonstrate Ham radio at the 2024 Boy Scout Camporee at the Double V ranch at 3801 S Kinney Rd, Tucson, AZ 85713, (OVARC has been a guest in the past.) Demonstrations occured in an area called The Midway where we were a given area to set up. OVARC members Steve W1SR, Joe KC2J, Gerry KK7HTF, Ralph KC7QXD, Bev WB7BEV, Fred W2HZ and  Don KA2IYU held down he fort!  We brought radios, batteries, pop ups for shade and a few tables and chairs. We operated from 9:00 to 1:00.  The bands were not in great shape, but we had a great time and inspired a few scouts!  See pictures below of the event.
